A recent change to your checking account was approved by the Federal Government (effective August 15th, 2010) which will affect the level of service we provide to you. Your action is required otherwise your checking account features will no longer be the same. OPT-IN NOW! 

 

New regulations require us to get your permission before covering your overdrafts for debit card transactions made with your Lakes Area Credit Union ATM or debit card.  

 

Beginning August 15, 2010, unless you give us permission, we must decline all one-time debit card and ATM transactions on accounts that do not have sufficient funds. To avoid having your transactions declined at the point of sale or ATM machine, you are required to OPT-IN and tell us that you want your overdraft protection to continue. You must OPT-IN for each individual personal checking account you have with us. Your election applies only to electronic debit card transactions and will not affect Overdraft Advance on your checks, ACH or recurring debit card payments.

• Keep your Overdraft Advance in force.  Overdraft Advance provides a cushion that will permit you to withdraw your account up to $500.00
