Share Draft Checking Accounts look and work like a checking account with unlimited check writing. We offer three different types of checking products to meet your needs. 

 

FREE Membership Checking 

Enjoy the same conveniences as our other checking accounts, for FREE!   Features of our Free Membership Checking Account include: No minimum balance, No maintenance fees, a free Visa Check Card or ATM card, unlimited withdrawals and checking writing, free Internet and 24-hour telephone banking, and overdraft protection availability.   

 

To enjoy the benefits of FREE Membership Checking, you must have either direct deposit into your Lakes Area account OR one additional service through Lakes Area Credit Union (either a MasterCard credit card, Money Market account, Share Certificate or IRA Certificate).  A $5 monthly service fee will be applied if terms are not met.   

 

Dividend Checking  

Earn competitive dividends when you maintain an average daily balance of $500.  Like our other checking accounts, benefits include: a free VISA Check Card or ATM Card, unlimited withdrawals and check writing, 24-hour telephone and Internet banking, and overdraft protection availability.  No monthly service fees will be applied unless your Dividend Checking Account falls below $500.  

 

Super Dividend Checking 

Earn increasingly higher dividends when you maintain an average daily balance of $5000.  Like our other checking accounts, benefits include: a free VISA Check Card or ATM Card, unlimited withdrawals and check writing, 24-hour telephone and Internet banking, and overdraft protection availability.  No monthly service fees will be applied unless your Super Dividend Checking Account falls below $5000.
